I remember that I used to get a similar problem on an older PBook (333) that I had, where I needed to make the partition size smaller or else the OS wouldn't load. I've COMPLETELY erased the HDD during my initial OS X install, and attempted a full install onto the (now) clean 19.x GB partition.Īfter the first install CD completes and the unit reboots, I get the apple boot screen and then I get "static" like lines across the screen and it freezes. trying to install popOS on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) - The Demo mode seems to run just fine, but the install routine fails after I select language, keyboard layout, etc - In the demo mode, the Disks app shows this: - the apple ssd 251 GB disk, with a 315MB Ext4 EFI partition and a 250 GB ext4 partition.
